Before you redesign your website
It's a well-known tale. Your website was created at a period when Google, a startup, was just beginning to enter the market for search engines. It was a fantastic website at the time. It may have even included some amazing new features, like rollovers in JavaScript or perhaps Flash.
Sadly, things change over time. Your rival appears to have updated their website roughly every six months since yours went up some years ago, and those picture rollovers that you once thought were cutting-edge are now dreadfully out of date. Redesign is required.
It seems like such a fantastic endeavor that nothing bad could ever happen, but believe me.
